Ana Stayer is a Serbian singer born in 1982 in Novi Sad, Serbia. In her family she was surrounded by music, from an early age she began to sing traditional songs and to study classical violin at the music school of Novi Sad. She continued her studies of viola at Royal College of music in Stockholm, Sweden, and at the same time started to sing with local musicians and in rock bands.
Her warm and powerful voice, inherited from her mother, led her to Paris in 2011 where she started playing with her sister traditional songs from the Balkans in the group «DOR»; and gospel music in the choir «Gospel pour 100 voix», touring France and Europe in hundreds of concerts.
Now living in Paris, she met a lot of jazz musicians, and had the opportunity to improve by singing popular jazz standards and french songs with the groups «Gypsy Cookers» and «Palinka»
She started in 2016 a tribute project to the famous Romanian singer Maria Tanase, in duo with the Cello Player Dima Tsypkin.
In 2018 Ana started a new vocal jazz project playing popular jazz & french songs in an acoustic jazzy mood…
